While I sat in my room after returning from a Safari in Africa, looking back over the amazing day I just had; I received a phone call from a client to tell me that he was at the end of life.
This particular client was one of my first when I opened my business 26 years ago. He challenged me in many ways, which helped me to learn and grow.
He became sick and had to stop working full time. Even though he was unable to work, his mind was still sharp and we stayed in contact. We would meet for breakfast and he has provided me with guidance over the years. I have slowly watched his health deteriorate and his kindness continue to flourish.
He called to make sure his affairs were in order and to say Goodbye. I asked if he would be alright with Aloha?
I hope you don’t mind me taking this time to say Thank You to my client and friend for all he gave me, and to extend my condolences to his wife and their family.
