Cuba Visitors Face New Medical Rules

Cuba

Canadians travelling to Cuba will be required to present proof of health insurance to enter the country as of Saturday, February 27, 2015.  CBC has reported on the change to Cuba‘s medical requirements.  Please ensure that you have your out of country card from either your Employee Benefit Program or the Individual out of country program you have purchased for the trip.

If you have questions about the coverage you currently have through your Employee Benefit Program, please contact me and I can review it with you.  I am happy to assist with personal out of country coverage as well.

Empire Life is now offering insurance for Expatriates;

  • Expatriate Coverage is normally used for employees and their families who are working out of country;

Allianz Global Assistance can assist with visitors coming to Canada and they require Inpatriate;

  • Inpatriate Coverage is used for people coming to Canada from other countries.  This could be on a Super Visa, a Work Visa or an extended visit.

These are a couple of the Insurance Companies I work with to assist my clients with parents that travel for an extended period; employees working out of country; family coming to Canada; etc.

In the meantime, please contact me with any questions.
