By the time you see this post, hopefully you would have woken up from your turkey comatose. This is a time to give thanks for all that we have in our lives. There are the obvious ones friends, family, my health, but I am most grateful for each and every person who has touched my life. As I have mentioned more than once, I live an amazing life and I am very grateful for each piece of it.

Thanksgiving has been officially celebrated as an annual holiday in Canada since November 6, 1879, when parliament passed a law designating a national day of thanksgiving.[1] The date, however, was not fixed and moved earlier and later in the year, though it was commonly the third Monday in October.[1]
On January 31, 1957, the Governor General of Canada issued a proclamation stating: “A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed – to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October.
