I can finally announce that through my other Company The Blind Men, I am supporting the building of a Secondary School in Kenya.
Before I continue, if you are heading to one of the following Home Shows, please drop by and say Hi:
Kelowna @ Prospera – February 22nd & 23rd
Vernon @ Kal Tire Place – March 28th & 29th
Kamloops @McArther Island Sport and Event Centre – April 4th & 5th
Why am I supporting a School in Kenya when we have so much need locally? This is a great question. I do support local charities through Glendinning Insurance Services. A portion of my commission goes back to not for profit companies that help assist Women and Children, who choose to come off the street. Supporting Cancer Research through different initiatives. I give to Christmas Parties, the Food Bank, and the list continues, and I am happy to do it.
When I was in Kenya in January, I met this amazing young lady named Samara. Samara is working hard to assist in the continued education of people in the village she grew up in. There is a lot more to this story and I would be happy to expand on it in person. If you are interested in Samara’s story please go to www.carmschoolskenya.ca or to donate you can access her Go Fund Me Page. Samara does a great job on her Go Fund Me page in explaining why the Secondary School is so important to her village and the future of Kenya.
Thank you for allowing me to use my Glendinning Insurance Services forum to introduce this worthy cause.
