Have you Played the Yes Game?

A couple years ago a friend of mine taught me the Yes Game and I decided that last weekend called for me to implement the game.  I hope you will come along for the ride.

Let me start with adding a couple disclaimers:

  • This has nothing to do with insurance
  • Everywhere I went and did was covid safe and I felt very comfortable

Due to some plans changing I decided it was time to say “Plot Twist”, and I decided to play the “Yes Game”.

You ask, what is the Yes Game??? Great question… It is simple, you say Yes to every opportunity that is presented to you.  Now get your mind out of the gutter, obviously, I am not going to put myself in an unsafe situation.

I finished my business meeting in Prince George on Friday, and my niece had to go to Vancouver to pick up a car she bought.  I  decided a night in Vancouver is just what the Doctor ordered, so I drove her.  We went as far as Sun Peaks the first night.

When do I get this uninterrupted time with my niece, never.

As we were driving down Hwy 24 into Kamloops I couldn’t help think that I will return to this road on my motorcycle.  Coming down this steep road into Kamloops as the sun was setting was stunning.  The hills behind us were orange from the sun and the hills in front of us had that beautiful purple hue.

Vancouver is such an incredible city, especially when the sun is shining.  I enjoy staying at The Sutton Hotel, it is central and the beds are so comfy.  I will give you a little taste of my stay in Vancouver with pictures.

Lunch at Joe Fortes, the steamed mussels were delicious.

I had a minute to myself before my friend joined me for dinner so I ordered a Hendrick’s Gin Martini.  The Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar makes a delicious martini.

There were 4 kinds of Raw Oysters to choose from.  I tried 2 of them.

After dinner, my kiting friend called me to tell me it was going to be +30 and a North wind in Kaleden and would I be home in time to come down?  Of course my answer was Yes…

Back to Vancouver, we then walked down to the ocean and as we watched the sun set, I couldn’t help think how much I enjoy playing the Yes Game.  The next time I play this game it will be on my motorcycle. 🙂

I hope that this Blog will inspire you to say Yes to life and that you will share your pictures and stories with me.  The beauty of it is you never know where it will take you.
