The Wawanesa Diversity Employee Benefit Program is an innovative group insurance plan designed for employers with 3 to 9 employees.
Eligibility
- No industry is excluded, and, no family content restrictions apply.
- A minimum of three eligible employees must be enrolled at all times.
- An Employee must earn the minimum hourly wage as legislated in their province of residence.
- All employees must work a minimum of 24 hours each week.
- Eligible employees can be considered full-time or part-time provided they meet the minimum number of hours requirement.
- All employees must receive a T4 direct from the Plan Sponsor.
- Contract or term employees are not eligible for coverage.
- Seasonal employees are eligible providing they work a minimum of 24 hours each week for a minimum of nine months of the year.
- Limited benefits are available throughout any lay-off period that is less than 90 days.
- A 24 month rate guarantee is available for all benefits.
The rates for all of the benefits are pooled and Wawanesa gives a rate guarantee of 24 months.
