In 2024 the Paris Olympics they are adding Foil Racing, or as they call it Windfoiling.
I have watched this young man, Tayne Steven grow up around the kiting world. His Dad and Uncle would bring him to The Gorge at a young age with one kite, a 7 meter, and a twin tip.
Tayne spent a winter in La Ventana, Mexico training for Freestyle Kiting and Foil Racing. His progression has been incredible. Have no fear, I believe is his moto.

This picture is from this weekend, he entered into a Foil Racing competition in Kingston, Ontario that Sail Canada put on. He came in first in the Juniors and 5th overall. He is the tall one in the black shirt.
His love of the sport and dedication to training will give him a good shot at representing Canada in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
