Should You Use All Your Benefits?

Wasn’t yesterday spectacular??? I know these days aren’t doing much for our ski hill, but a walk along the water was a great way to spend the afternoon.

It is the end of the year and most of us are getting ready for the Holiday Season, or for some of us Christmas, and the New Year.  It is also the time that the push is on for employees to use up any remaining benefits.

If someone is in the middle of a much needed procedure, by all means using the benefit plan is why you have put it in place.   To use the benefits, just because they are there is what I would like to talk about today.

As a Business Owner, you understand that for Extended Health and Dental it is money in and money out that dictates the rates next year.  This might be the time to remind employees to use their benefit plan responsibly.  Most employees have no idea of how the Extended Health and Dental benefits work, and yes, some don’t care either and that is alright.  If one or two employees get the concept it could go a long way in ensuring your renewal rates remain competitive.
